Consultations

All contracted jobs include an initial free consultation (in person or via phone or video chat) to discuss your needs and the services I can offer. I continue to meet with clients as needed throughout the project process at no additional charge. I also offer paid consults for clients who simply want to discuss work in progress, receive writing prompts, and bounce ideas. These consults are $25 per one-hour session.

Printing & Shipping Info

Projects will be emailed in digital format to clients upon completion of services. For an additional 20¢ per page, I can print and deliver the finished project. Clients must pay shipping for delivery by post.

Typing: $1.50 per page ($15 minimum)

This rate is for converting handwritten documents into typed form in whatever format the client chooses. The handwritten work will be typed exactly as it appears with no grammatical or punctuation changes. The minimum time required for this service is two days plus one day for every 40 pages. (MTR: 2d + 1d/40pg)

Typing + Proofreading: $4 per page ($20 minimum)

This rate is for converting handwritten documents into typed form AND correcting typos and grammar/punctuation errors as needed. While some notes may be given for sentence structure suggestions and clarification, proofreading does not include content editing or critique. The minimum time required for this service is two days plus one day for ever thirty pages. (MTR: 2d + 1d/30pg)

PowerPoint/Prezi Slides: $30 per slide ($90 minimum)

The title/opening slide is free. Each additional slide is $30, and fact-checking is included. The minimum time required for this service is four days. (MTR: 4d)

Speech: $75 per spoken minute ($150 minimum)

Rate includes fact-checking and up to two re-writes. Client must provide information to be included. With the purchase of a written speech, I offer public speaking evaluation/coaching at the discounted rate of $20/hour. The minimum time required for this service is four days. (MTR: 4d)

Speech/Presentation Package: $125 per spoken minute ($250 minimum)

Rate includes up to two PowerPoint/Prezi slides per spoken minute, fact-checking, and up to two re-writes. With the purchase of this package, I offer public speaking evaluation/coaching at the discounted rate of $20/hour. The minimum time required for this service is four days. (MTR: 4d)

Public Speaking Coaching: $40 per hour

In addition to evaluating and critiquing your speaking style, I offer valuable suggestions for improvements and a chance for you to practice your upcoming speech or presentation in a relaxed environment. No matter the size of your audience, the preparation will give you the courage to speak with confidence!

Movie Review: $10 + 25¢ per word ($25 minimum)

A standard movie review is 50-75 words, but clients may request any number of words. The minimum time required for this service is three days. (MTR: 4d)

Book Review: Reading Fee + 25¢ per word ($60 minimum)

A standard book review is 75-150 words, but clients may request any number of words. The Reading Fee is $10/hour, which typically translates to about $10 per 40 pages. The minimum time required for this service is four days. (MTR: 4d)

Book Jacket: Reading Fee + 55¢ per word ($100 minimum)

A standard book jacket is 100-250 words, but clients may request any number of words. The Reading Fee is $10/hour, which typically translates to about $10 per 40 pages. The minimum time required for this service is four days. (MTR: 4d)

Movie/Script Novelization: $5,000 - $9,000

          Novels for children to early middle grade readers are $5,000 and take a minimum of four weeks to complete. (MTR: 4w)

          Novels for older children and teens are $6,500 and take a minimum of six weeks to complete. (MTR: 6w)

          YA/Adult novels are $9,000 and take a minimum of eight weeks to complete. (MTR: 8w)
 

Miscellaneous

          Articles, Blog Posts, & Columns: 25¢ - $2 per word, depending on my experience with the topic ($50 minimum, MTR: 4d)

          Brochures, Ads, & Newsletters: $30 + 50¢ per word ($80 minimum, MTR: 4d)

          Catalog Descriptions: $30 per item ($30 minimum, MTR: 4d)
