Xana

She said I am free to choose to be free I could be free like she is free, she said That I only need to let go of the rest of the world But I cannot understand how she got to that place, so aware of herself, so familiar with her soul, My goddess is too far away, I cannot reach her I pulled the mask away, for a time, but it is tethered. I am obliged to keep it nearby, for safety I may have need to wear it in mixed company She said I should wash it all away in the water Obligations are manufactured, she said Water is tangible Water is life And I want to accept her acceptance And I want to believe in the water And I want my spirit to soar out through my skin If only the world would let go of me
