Angie is an approachable, engaging, and enthusiastic tutor for kids, teens, and adults of all ages! She focuses on listening to client needs and working together to find your own personal learning style and to implement individualized tools that will guarantee success. She's been a substitute teacher with Virginia Beach Public Schools and an AVID tutor with Springfield Public Schools as well as tutored and given kids help with homework during the afterschool program with Boys & Girls Club of Central Illinois. She's continued to work with kids, teens, and college students as a private tutor and as a creative writing and arts workshops instructor for more than a decade. She's also a registered tutor with Grade Potential Tutoring and has a completed background check on file with the agency. She currently works with GPT students locally in, Indianapolis, Brownsburg, Pittsboro, and Lebanon, IN. Angie is organized, reliable, and committed to empowering others to learn and achieve big things, not only in their academic journey but in all their goals and endeavors in life!

Angie is an experienced professional writer and editor with a Master's degree in Communications and therefore specializes in teaching any elementary, middle school, high school, and university level English language, spelling, reading, grammar, research writing, nonfiction writing, creative writing, poetry, literature, communications, journalism, speech, and creative arts courses.

For maths, she can confidently tutor any basic elementary math as well as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. For sciences, she can confidently tutor any basic elementary science as well as middle, high school, and freshman/core level environmental science, biology, anatomy, geology, botany, zoology, astronomy, physics, social sciences, psychology, anthropology, health sciences, and sex education. For elementary, middle, and high school students, she can also confidently tutor social studies, philosophy, geography, US history, art history, and theater arts. She can confidently teach basic computer literacy and typing for any age group. She also offers GED and other test prep services as well as job interview, public speaking, and motivational coaching for teens and adults.

Angie is currently located in the United States in the Eastern Time Zone. She can meet with national and international clients via video chat or locally with clients in the Indianapolis area. All rates listed below are for ONLINE sessions. For Indy clients wanting to meet in-person, there is a travel fee of $5 per session. There is no additional fee for clients who come directly to Angie in Brownsburg, IN.

Unless prior payment arrangements have been made, all tutoring fees are due at time of service. There is no charge for an initial video consult to assess your needs and design your learning plan; please get in touch with any questions prior to booking!

PSAT/NMSQT Prep Courses
The PSAT/NMSQT is a 134-minute digital exam that tests reading, writing, and math skills. There are 98 questions across four timed modules. A high score can lead to a National Merit Scholarship. Taking the PSAT or NMSQT is a also a great way to prepare for SAT/ACT exams. Angie's prep courses include comprehensive one-on-one tutoring and practice testing tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.

SAT/ACT Prep Courses
The SAT and ACT tests assess a student's college-readiness. The SAT is a 180-minute digital exam that tests reading comprehension, writing & language, math, and problem-solving skills. There are 154 questions across four timed modules. There is also an optional 50-min essay section that some schools may require. The ACT is a 175-minute digital exam that tests English, math, reading comprehension, and science with an optional 40-min writing test. There are 215 questions across four modules. Angie's prep 
courses include comprehensive one-on-one tutoring and practice testing tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style.

GED Prep Courses
The GED is the General Education Development Exam. It's a series of four tests that certify a person has high school-level academic skills. Passing the GED allows those who did not complete a traditional high school program to earn a high school equivalency credential, which is accepted by most employers and colleges. Angie's prep
 courses include comprehensive one-on-one tutoring and practice testing tailored to each student's individual needs and learning style. If after completing a basic or premium course a student does NOT pass the GED, the student may schedule up to four additional 1-hr tutoring and/or 45-min quizzing/practice sessions for FREE before attempting the exam again.

CLEP Exam Prep Courses
The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) gives students college credits for subjects they're already proficient in without their having to take full college courses. Passing a CLEP exam is a way to "test out" of taking a college class at a fraction of the cost. Many years ago, Angie took and passed CLEP exams in College Composition, American Literature, English Literature, and College Algebra, thereby receiving credit for required core subjects without having to pay costly tuition for those courses. If you feel confident enough in a subject to try a CLEP exam, Angie can help prepare you for the test! All course rates include access to each subject's official College Board examination guide, which are $10 via the College Board website.
